POV: You “Pass Out” Beside Your Dogs 😭🙏
It was supposed to be a quiet afternoon—just you, your cozy blanket, and your two dogs curled up on the floor. You had no intention of doing anything dramatic. But then the idea hit: What would happen if I just “passed out” beside them? Purely for fun. Just to see their reaction. So, with a soft sigh, you gently lay down on the carpet next to them, closed your eyes, and went completely still.
At first? Nothing.
Your dogs glance over at you, unimpressed. The older one—wise and used to your antics—lets out a small huff and returns to his nap. The younger one, however, tilts their head, ears perked, eyes scanning your motionless face like, Wait… what’s going on here?
A few seconds go by. You hear the soft shuffle of paws. Then, you feel it—warm breath on your cheek. The younger dog is now nose-to-nose with you, sniffing frantically. You stay still, resisting the urge to smile or laugh. Then comes the gentle paw pat. Tap-tap. Hey… you okay?
Suddenly, there’s a flurry of movement. The younger pup begins nudging you harder, then licking your face. Your hand twitches, and that’s all it takes—cue full dog panic mode. Both dogs are now hovering, sniffing, licking, and lightly whining. You’re completely surrounded by concerned furry faces.
One tries to dig under your arm, the other plops down on top of you, tail wagging nervously, doing their best to perform some version of dog CPR.
You can’t take it anymore—you burst into laughter, eyes flying open.
The dogs freeze for half a second, stunned. Then the energy shifts. Tails start wagging uncontrollably, tongues go into overdrive, and your face gets covered in kisses. To them, it’s a miracle. You’re alive! You made it! What a moment!
You wrap your arms around them, laughing as they jump all over you with pure joy. It’s in that messy, happy moment that you’re reminded of just how much they love you. They might not understand the prank, but they understood something wasn’t right—and they were ready to save the day.
