Monkey Harvests Eggs and Asks Dad to Cook for Lala When She’s Hungry!
It was a peaceful morning in the jungle, and the sun had just begun to peek through the leaves. Birds were chirping, the breeze was cool, and Monkey was already wide awake. He had one very important mission today — to take care of Lala, who had woken up feeling a little tired and very, very hungry.
Monkey peeked into their little treehouse and saw Lala curled up in a blanket, rubbing her eyes. “Good morning, Lala,” he whispered, smiling gently. “Are you okay?”
Lala nodded slowly. “I’m just… really hungry,” she said with a tiny yawn.
Monkey’s heart swelled with love for his little sister. He gently patted her head. “Don’t worry, Lala. I’ll get you something yummy!”
With that, Monkey grabbed his little basket and set off into the jungle. He had a plan: he would collect fresh eggs from the hen tree on the hill, and then ask Dad to cook something special just for Lala.
The hen tree was a safe spot where jungle hens laid their eggs. Monkey climbed carefully, checking every nest with gentle hands. “Excuse me, Miss Hen,” he said politely to one of them. “May I please take a few eggs? Lala’s hungry.”
The hens clucked in agreement — they all adored Lala and trusted Monkey. Carefully, he placed the warm eggs into his basket, making sure not to crack a single one. “Thank you!” he called as he climbed down and hurried home.
When he reached the treehouse, he ran straight to the jungle kitchen where Dad was already chopping fruit.
“Dad!” Monkey said excitedly, holding up the basket. “I got fresh eggs! Can you make something delicious for Lala? She’s really hungry.”
Dad turned around, surprised but proud. “You harvested these yourself?”
Monkey nodded. “Yes. I wanted to help.”
Dad smiled warmly. “Well done, Monkey. Let’s cook something special together.”
Father and son got to work — cracking eggs into a bowl, whisking them with jungle herbs, and cooking them slowly over a warm fire. Soon, the sweet smell of sizzling eggs filled the air. They added a bit of honey and mashed banana for extra flavor, just the way Lala liked it.
When the food was ready, Monkey gently carried the warm plate to Lala, who sat up with a wide smile. “You made this for me?” she asked, eyes sparkling.
“I did,” Monkey said proudly. “With Dad’s help. I harvested the eggs myself!”
Lala took a bite and sighed happily. “It’s the best food ever.”
Monkey sat beside her as she ate, feeling proud and grateful. He didn’t need a reward — Lala’s smile was more than enough.
That day, everyone in the jungle praised Monkey for his kindness and responsibility. Not only had he gathered food, but he had done it out of love — and that made all the difference.
From that moment on, whenever Lala was hungry or sad, she knew she could count on her big brother to be there — with a basket, a brave heart, and a plate of something warm, made with love. 🐒🍳💕
