My Dog Let His Intrusive Thoughts Win! đŸ¶đŸ’đŸ˜‚

You know those moments where you look at someone and just know they’re about to make a bad decision? Yeah—welcome to life with my dog, Teddy.

It was a perfectly calm afternoon. I had just finished vacuuming the living room, lit a candle, fluffed the pillows
the house looked peaceful. Teddy, my mischievous Golden Retriever, was lounging on the rug, chewing his toy and looking like an angel. And then, it happened. He looked at the coffee table. Then at me. Back at the table. And I could see it in his eyes. His brain was like, “What if
I just grabbed that?” That “that” was a full slice of chocolate cake I had foolishly left unattended for maybe 30 seconds.

I said, “Teddy. Don’t.”

He paused. Tilted his head. And then—WHAM—he leapt up, snatched the cake in one clean bite, and sprinted around the house like he had just robbed a bakery. Frosting flew. Crumbs rained down like edible confetti.

I was yelling, chasing him, slipping on sprinkles while he zoomed under the table like it was a getaway tunnel. His face was pure joy. Mine? Pure horror. (And yes, don’t worry—I made a quick vet call. No chocolate overdose. Just a very guilty golden boy with a sugar crash an hour later.)

This wasn’t a one-time thing either. Last week, his “intrusive thought” told him to dig up my tulips. The week before? He decided my sock drawer was a treasure chest. It’s like he hears the little voice in his head whisper, “Do it.” And he listens. Every time. But you know what? I wouldn’t trade him for anything. He’s wild, unpredictable, and a walking chaos generator—but he makes life hilariously full.  Just
maybe no more cake on the table.
