Home Alone DOG Version! (Adventures Of Teddy Episode 2)
The sun had just set, leaving golden streaks across the living room walls of the house. I kissed Mom and Dad goodbye, stepping out for errands, leaving Teddy, my clever golden retriever, inside. It was just supposed to be a couple of hours, but little did I know, this would become the greatest solo adventure Teddy had ever had.
Scene 1: The Realization
Teddy sits by the front door, his ears perked. He hears the car pull away. Click. The front door latches. Silence. Teddy’s eyes widen. Home alone. His tail gives a slow wag. He looks around—no humans. Only furniture, shadows, and the faint hush of evening.
“Teddy,” he might think, “this is my night.”
Scene 2: Exploration Begins
First stop: the kitchen. Teddy sniffs every corner. He finds the cookie jar on the counter—dangerously close to the edge. With a mighty leap and a slip of paw, THUNK! It falls. Cookies scatter. Teddy’s eyes light up. He barks, proud. A feast earned by wit and daring.
Next: the living room. There’s the TV remote—buttons everywhere. Teddy paws at them. The screen flickers. Cartoons burst into view. Teddy’s head tilts. He tries changing the channel, but ends up blasting static that echoes through the house. He barks in confusion—then barks in triumph when the picture returns.
Scene 3: Intruder Alert!
In the distance, Teddy hears a sound—a bump in the hallway. His posture freezes. The wind from a cracked window rustles. A raccoon, maybe. Teddy creeps forward, nose out. He growls. Protector mode: ON.
Cue a classic “trap” sequence: Teddy drags a slipper across the doorway like a tripwire. He knocks over a mop bucket that spills just as the “intruder” (a curious cat) pad-dashes in. Cat scampers back out. Teddy stands victorious.
Scene 4: Home Alone, But Not Lonely
After the excitement, Teddy settles onto the couch. Moonlight drifts through the windows. The house is quiet. He curls up, chest rising and falling. His eyes heavy.
Scene 5: Family Returns
Door opens. I burst in, tired but smiling.
“Teddy! You’re okay?” I ask. I scoop him up; he wags joyously. I notice crumbs on the floor, a knocked-over mop, and a remote asking for batteries. Teddy licks my face, as though to say: I kept everything safe.
