Guess Who Just Met a Toad for the First Time? 😂 Lala Was So Confused (and a Little Scared!) 🐸
It was a sunny afternoon in the jungle, and little Lala was out exploring with her usual curiosity. She had wandered just a few steps away from the treehouse, chasing butterflies and collecting colorful leaves in her tiny hands. Monkey was nearby, keeping an eye on her while nibbling on a mango.
Suddenly, Lala stopped in her tracks. Right in front of her, sitting calmly on a flat rock, was a bumpy, squishy-looking creature with big bulging eyes. It blinked once. Then again.
Lala tilted her head. “What… is that?” she whispered.
The creature gave a low, soft croak.
Lala’s eyes went wide. She took a step back. “Monkey!!” she called, clearly startled. “There’s a… a thing! And it made a funny noise!”
Monkey dropped his mango and rushed over. When he saw the toad, he burst out laughing. “That’s just a toad, Lala!”
“A toad?” she echoed, still unsure whether to trust it or run away.
The toad, unfazed, gave another slow blink and a louder crooooak. Lala jumped and clung to Monkey’s arm. “Why does it look like that?! Is it slimy? Is it going to hop on me?!”
Monkey grinned. “Maybe! But toads are harmless. He’s probably just sunbathing. He won’t hurt you.”
Still clinging to Monkey, Lala peeked at the toad from behind his shoulder. “He looks like a wrinkly balloon,” she said with a nervous giggle.
Monkey chuckled. “That’s kind of true. But he’s a part of the jungle too. And you know what? He probably thinks you look strange!”
Lala blinked at the toad again. Slowly, she let go of Monkey and crouched down — still keeping a safe distance — to watch the toad more closely.
“Hi, Mr. Toad,” she whispered. “I’m Lala. Please don’t jump on me.”
The toad just blinked again… and then, with a tiny hop, it disappeared into the bushes.
Lala gasped, then laughed out loud. “That was funny! But I’m never touching one!”
Monkey laughed too. “That’s fair.”
And just like that, Lala had her first official toad encounter — full of confusion, a dash of fear, and a whole lot of laughter. 🐸💚
