It happened again today. Chamroeun was lying quietly on the mat, holding his favorite stuffed animal, just relaxing. And out of nowhere — THUMP! Minea came over and shoved his head, making him lose balance and fall sideways.
That was the moment Chamroeun screamed and started crying. Loudly. The kind of cry that breaks your heart. Not because of pain only, but from pure frustration. His tears said everything: “Why does she always do this to me?”
Mom rushed over right away, alarmed by the scream. She picked up Chamroeun, held him close, and tried to calm him down. “It’s okay, baby, Mommy’s here,” she whispered, rubbing his head gently. But Chamroeun kept sobbing, burying his face in Mom’s shoulder. He was tired of being treated like this. Tired of always being pushed by the sister who’s supposed to protect him.
