Teddy Is in the Hospital for Observation, and Teddy Really Misses You All 💔🐾
Today’s update is hard to write.
Teddy is in the hospital. He’s currently under observation, and while the vets are doing everything they can, I can’t help but feel like a piece of me is missing.
It started with some unusual signs—he was more tired than normal, not his usual goofy, golden self. No zoomies, no toy-guarding antics, no dramatic flops onto the couch. He stopped following me room to room, and when he passed up a treat—Teddy, the king of snacks—I knew something was wrong.
We rushed to the vet. After a long exam and bloodwork, the doctor said they needed to keep him overnight for observation. Just to be sure. Just to monitor.
Just hearing that was enough to send a wave of panic through me.
Teddy is more than a dog. He’s my best friend. My shadow. My daily dose of joy, even on the toughest days. He’s the heartbeat of this house—barking when packages arrive, snuggling when I need comfort, and being the goofy big brother to Roo, who doesn’t quite know where he is right now and keeps looking for him at the door.
The vet says he’s stable, that they’re keeping a close eye on him. IV fluids, constant vitals monitoring, and plenty of care. But still… it’s hard not to worry. It’s hard not to look around the house and feel his absence in every corner.
I visited him today. His tail wagged, just a little, when he saw me. I spoke softly to him, told him all about the messages you all have been sending. He knows you miss him. He knows you love him. And I truly believe he feels every bit of that support.
Teddy misses you. All of you.
The followers who’ve laughed at his silly videos, who’ve shared his stories, who’ve made him part of your lives. He’s brought smiles to so many people—and right now, I think he needs a little of that love back.
Please keep Teddy in your thoughts. Send him your strength, your love, your positivity—however you do it. Whether it’s a comment, a prayer, or just a moment to picture him happy and healthy, it all helps.
He’s a fighter. He always has been.
And we’re holding onto hope with everything we’ve got.
We’ll update you as soon as we know more. In the meantime, thank you—for being part of Teddy’s extended family. For caring. For loving him right alongside us.
Because this isn’t just our journey. It’s yours too.
