My Dog Started a New Business! đ đ¶đŒ
I knew my dog, Teddy, was smart⊠but I didnât expect him to become an entrepreneur.
It all started when I caught him dragging my shoesâagainâto the front door. But this time, he wasnât just being mischievous. No, no. He had lined them up like a display at a fancy boutique. Next to the shoes were his toys, a sock, andâoddlyâone of my neighborâs gardening gloves.
Thatâs when it hit me: Teddy was opening a store.
Or at least, thatâs what it looked like.
By the end of the day, he had fully transformed the porch into a âshop.â He even barked at every passerby like a marketing director shouting, âSALE TODAY!â
I dubbed it: âTeddyâs Treasures.â
It got even more ridiculous when Roo, his little sister, joined in. She started âstocking shelvesâ with sticks, leaves, and whatever she could find in the backyard. At one point, I spotted her dragging out a throw pillow like it was a grand opening display.
I posted a photo online as a joke: âMy dog started a business.â And somehow⊠people started stopping by!
Kids from the neighborhood brought little âpaymentsâ in the form of dog treats and tennis balls. In exchange, Teddy would proudly offer them a slobbery toy or a half-chewed stick. Roo would wag her tail like she was ringing up their total.
By the weekend, âTeddyâs Treasuresâ had become a full-blown attraction. There was even a handmade sign (thanks to a kind neighbor) and a tip jar filled with biscuits.
Was it a real business? Technically, no.
Did it make me laugh every single day? Absolutely.
Now, every morning, Teddy sets up shop. He doesnât care about profitsâheâs in it for the joy, the pets, and the occasional peanut butter snack from his favorite customers.
My dog started a business⊠and somehow, heâs thriving.
