My Dog Scared Me in the Middle of the Night! đŸ¶đŸ˜±đŸŒ™

It was 2:37 a.m. when I shot awake in bed. Not because of a dream, not because of thunder—but because I felt something staring at me.

In the pitch black of my room, I turned slowly
 and there he was.

My Golden Retriever, Cooper, sitting completely still by my bedside, eyes glowing from the faint light coming through the window. His face was inches from mine. Just… silently watching.

I jumped so hard I nearly fell out of bed.

“COOPER!” I whisper-yelled, my heart pounding like I’d seen a ghost. “What are you doing?!”

He didn’t blink. He just stared a little longer, then let out the creepiest low whine—like he was trying to tell me something. I got up, cautiously, wondering if something was wrong. Was there a raccoon outside? Did he hear a strange noise?

Nope. None of that.

Cooper calmly walked over to the kitchen, looked at his empty food bowl, then turned to me with a perfectly timed tail wag.

He’d scared the soul out of me
 because he wanted a snack.

I sighed and poured him a handful of kibble, muttering, “You little creep,” as he munched away happily like nothing had happened.

But of course, that wasn’t the end of it.

As soon as I laid back down, I heard thud-thud-thud—Cooper zooming around the house with a burst of midnight zoomies, like he’d just chugged a triple espresso.

Needless to say, I didn’t get back to sleep for a while.

The next morning, he was peacefully snoozing on the couch like an angel. Meanwhile, I had bags under my eyes and a new fear of glowing eyes in the night.

Thanks, Cooper. I’ll never sleep the same again.
